Cynthia is a person-centered Clinical Licensed Mental Health Counselor with an expertise in prevention and wellness through the use of expressive arts and mindfulness. She has specialized training and personal experience surrounding grief and transition. Cynthia facilitates the adult grief group at New Hope for Kids in Maitland, Florida and also teaches therapeutic drumming at the Florida School for Holistic Living in Orlando

Cynthia models her counseling theory around a strong belief in Positive Psychology and our abilities to flourish with supplemental guidance and encouragement. She is an existentialist thinker believing in Freedom of Will, Will to Meaning and Meaning in Life.

Cynthia is a graduate of Rollins College with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. She has received specialized trainings in prevention and wellness; including therapeutic drumming, cinema therapy, expressive arts therapy, grief and transition counseling, mindfulness, laughter yoga and therapeutic humor.
